Welcome to our new look "Dollies Down Under"..........
Founded in 1995, by Lesley McPhan and Debra Marshall, we are Australia's only completely free online doll club. While our club was started with the intention of giving cloth doll makers a forum, it has now spread its wings around the world with members making cloth, clay, polymer, porcelain dolls, bears, paperclay and knitted toys.
In January 2001 we changed server and Lesley McPhan stood down as leader to concentrate on her new business venture - a little slice of dolly heaven located in Curtain Plaza Canberra. Lesley has passed the her 'baby' over to me, and I shall hopefully take it through its difficult adolescent years VBG
Our 'Gallery' features dolls made by our members, and on the 'Freinds' pages, you will find patterns and supplies offered for sale by our members. We are also running a James Christensen Challenge with members making a doll inspired by his wonderful artwork and emailing us the photo for online voting, with a prize to the winner/s We will have a page of the dolls up as the photo's come in.....
Coming up this year we have some great swaps planned, (including our annual "Great Aussie Pin Swap") and a couple of great events - more info on them as we finalise the details
